One of my favourite Dutch jazz DJ's, always fun to work with and to hear him spinning! Besides that he compiled about 15 of the famous 'Blue Note Trip' series in Holland, plus he had a great daily jazz program on BNR news radio. He now owns a radio station dedicated to jazz: www.jazzradio.nl
Han toured extensively with him for a year or two in light of the Blue Note Trip compilation series, and now again in 2017 in Lounge and Club settings.

Kindred Spirits
Amsterdam based recordlabel, deeply into jazz. Owner and founder Kees Heus a.k.a. Kc The Funkaholic started DJing back in the 80's. Back then he introduced 'house music' to the Amsterdam crowd in the famous club Roxy, from where he moved on and became one of the main programming directors at the famous club Paradiso, where the Kindred Spirits parties started. Together with Han Litz and Wiboud Burkens, Kees started Kindred Spirits Ensemble in 2006/2007. The first outing: Love is Supreme, a tribute to John Coltrane with mostly new arrangements of Litz and Burkens of songs related to the spiritual Coltrane legacy was played live(35 musicians on stage) at Pure Jazz fest(three times), North Sea Jazz festival, Paradiso and other venues has been received very well by the press! The second project in 2009 was a concert with a jazz crossover to the Detroit techno style at Paradiso, again arrangements by Litz and Burkens. The third project in 2011 was a concert at Paradiso for viva Brasil with the music of Arthur Verocai with himself as a conductor.
